LMICS member consultations 2023
Purpose
In 2022, following the acute phase of the COVID pandemic, LMICS identified that to help us tailor our stakeholder engagement and support, we needed to understand more about our 23 member health services.
What are doing / what we did
During 2023, LMICS led interviews with representatives from our member organisations. In collaboration with the VICS Communications lead, we developed a useful and flexible semi-structured interview tool. We conducted the interviews online and in person, followed by thematic analysis.
Outputs
We learned about member organisations’ immediate priorities and goals in relation to cancer services; their aspirations for the next 5 years; their key strengths; most significant challenges; and preferred mechanisms by which LMICS could assist.
Impacts
These findings helped LMICS to inform our engagement with each member organisation; the development of our 2023-24 Business Plan; and also provided input for the 2024–2028 Victorian Cancer Plan consultation. For knowledge management and planning purposes, this information is stored and regularly added to via a customer relationship management software program used by LMICS.
