PREp-4-Cancer Surgery Toolkit

Western & Central Melbourne

A WCMICS service improvement grant supporting work at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre to co-design an evidence-based PREp-4-Cancer Surgery Toolkit. This Toolkit will enable health services to develop prehabilitation services and lead to improved patient outcomes for those undergoing major colorectal, gastrointestinal and gynaecological surgery.

Peter Mac collaborated with consumers, Western Health, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Bendigo Health, Mercy Health, The Royal Women’s Hospital, North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network and the Cancer Council Victoria to co-design the Toolkit and evaluate the utility and the ability to implement the Toolkit.
