Thinking, learning, and neuropsychology assessments

This resource has been developed by PICS, Victoria’s Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service. 

The leaflet below is intended for adolescents and young people who have been treated for cancer, their parents, carers, and families. It describes:

  • areas of thinking and learning most likely to be affected following treatment
  • factors that may increase the chance of cognitive difficulties
  • how to know if this is a problem for you
  • clinical neuropsychologists
  • neuropsychology assessments
  • how to explain the assessment to your child.
