WCMICS is a partnership of 7 public health services in Central and Western Melbourne.
We work collaboratively with these services to promote coordinated service planning, system integration, and improvement of cancer services across the Western and Central Melbourne region.
Our partner health organisations are:
- Melbourne Health
- Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
- Royal Women’s Hospital
- St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne
- Werribee Mercy Hospital
- Western Health
- Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital.
Consistently, around 80% of the cancer patients living in Western and Central Melbourne have their treatment at one of these WCMICS member health services. Patients from across Victoria and around Australia also receive treatment at these services – collectively travelling over a million kilometres (in 2022) for treatment in Melbourne.
