As Victoria’s Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service (PICS), we lead the networked paediatric cancer care system across the state.
We help to improve experiences and outcomes for Victorians affected by childhood cancers, also known as paediatric cancers.
What we do
We help children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, along with their caregivers, to receive the best possible care, as close to home as possible. Our work supports families, and the health professionals caring for them, across the different treatment phases.
Our fact sheets, videos, and other resources help families to understand and navigate the challenges that impact all areas of life following a childhood cancer diagnosis.
We deliver clinical programs that improve access to local, high-quality care for regional families, and support patients to live healthy lives long after treatment.
Our education and training opportunities support health professionals to provide better care to patients. Our frameworks, pathways, and data services support service development and drive best-practice.
We value the input of those with lived experiences, and connect health professionals, services, and patients and caregivers as consumers of health services to deliver evidence-based and family-centred projects.
Together, we can improve experiences and outcomes for all Victorians affected by childhood cancer.
